Brick pointing, masonry & facade restoration in NYC
New York’s brick buildings take a beating from freeze–thaw cycles, wind-driven rain and decades of patchwork repairs. We repair and restore masonry on row houses, brownstones, walk-ups and larger multi-family and commercial buildings across all five boroughs.

What repointing fixes
Drag to compare deteriorated joints with freshly repointed brick. Illustrative only — not a photo of a specific project.

Common questions
What is the difference between pointing and repointing?
The terms are used interchangeably in NYC. Both mean removing deteriorated mortar from the joints to a consistent depth and filling them with new mortar. We’ll explain what your wall actually needs during the estimate.
Do you match the existing mortar color?
We aim to match the color and texture of the existing joints as closely as practical, and we’ll talk through mortar options before work starts.
Do I need a permit for facade work?
It depends on the scope and the building. Some work requires DOB permits and sidewalk sheds or scaffolding; minor repairs often do not. We’ll go over what applies to your job when we scope it.
